What We Believe
We believe therapy should be a place of rest, reckoning, and reconnection.
We believe in the power of sitting with someone who understands shame and softness, survival and joy — someone who can hold the contradictions, because they live with them too.
We believe that healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens in relationship.
What We Do
We personally match you with a qualified LGBTQ+ therapist who aligns with your needs, your pace, and your story.
All therapists on Elo are fully qualified and registered with a recognised UK professional body.
Through this bond, our hope is that you’ll begin to:
• Feel more connected to yourself
• Form more nourishing relationships
• Experience the kind of care that doesn’t ask you to be anyone else
This is the work. This is the bond. This is elo.
About elo
Elo means bond in Portuguese — and that’s what we’re here to build.
A bond that feels safe. That sees you. That can carry the weight of who you are.
elo is a platform created by and for the LGBTQ+ community. We exist to connect people with therapists who understand — not just professionally, but personally. Because sometimes, what we need most is to sit across from someone who simply gets it.
Why We Exist
Many queer people have spent their lives moving between spaces that weren’t built for them. In therapy, that can mean feeling like you have to explain yourself, shrink yourself, or avoid being fully known.
We believe healing begins when you don’t have to do that anymore.
elo creates a bridge between LGBTQ+ clients and LGBTQ+ therapists — making it easier to find someone who recognises the world you’re navigating and can help you make sense of your place within it.
